It was sunny today. Near our land we came across on the roadside a large ram. The fire puja to Medicine Guru Buddha went well with huge and bright fire. A piece of silk with Shu (Si Chuan, China) style embroidery of a pair of dragon and phoenix (蜀繡龍鳳) was offered. And it was burned into a dragon head. We have a photo of this. See attached file. In the ashes there appeared a dragon head facing south east and a lion's head facing north east. A slightly burned easter bunny candle was added to add the fire, and later in the ashes there is a rabbit shape formed by burned wood and offerings. The smoke puja also ent well, and all offerings were burned to fine ashes. On our way back we stopped by Bloomfield Cemetery in Petaluma and performed Powa service there. Some photos were taken during our activities. One of the cameras had memory card error, so we might have more photos to share if we can recover them. The 42 photos we have will soon be posted at our websites. May all beings attain Enlightenment soon! Today after we returned to my office I sealed the large vase for the coming Four-Dragon Time offering. April 25 will be Four-Dragon Time vase offering. Right now we have 54 vases to offer. Number up to 3879. May 6 will be fire puja to Sakyamuni Buddha, and cemetery visit. May 20 will be vase offering if the boat owner agree to take us out to sea on that date. May 24 I will leave for Taiwan in the evening. May all beings attain Enlightenment soon! Yutang

Today is a sunny Easter Sunday. Fire puja to Jesus went well. With help from winds fire was vigorous and bright. The white silk offered was burned into the shape of two large fish, heading in opposite ctions but lying side by side. It coincides with the story of Jesus feeding the multitude with five loaves and two fish. Now it is Dragon month of Dragon year. After we offer flowers there appeared on top of the fire altar a snake, with its head facing the Jesus altar in the east, its body coiled around the firewood on south side and its tail coiled around the firewood on west side. Later its head transformed into the shape of a dragon head. Right after the firewood pile came down on all sides simultaneously, in the center there appeared a dragon facing south-east with its body coiled together. At home when I looked at the photos taken then, the protruding stick on its back resembles a person standing there. So it reminds me of the famous theme of Guan Yin standing on a dragon. On our way home we stopped by Calvary Catholic Cemetery to do Powa service. Photos taken during the above Dharma activities will be posted at our websites soon. April 13 will be the first Four-Dragon Time offering of vases. April 22 will be fire puja to Medicine Guru Buddha and cemetery visit. April 25 will be the second Four-Dragon Time offering of vases. May all beings attain Enlightenment soon! Yutang |

It was cold and windy in the early morning. By the time we reached our fire puja place, the sun started to come out. But during preparation our fingers were numb due to coldness. Usually there are two crows that are there to eat the offerings we bring for them. Now they are so used to our presence that they were waiting on the ground nearby and started to eat while we were still there distributing the food offerings to them. Later one of them even walked around the outskirts of the fire platform and picked up food at leisure. Traditionally during a tantric fire puja the performers wear ceremonial outfit, including a Five-Buddha Crown. Today I brought the five-buddha crown that disciple Pure Dragon in Poland made for me (as sponsored by two other Polish disciples) and also put on the pair of yogic earrings that Pure Dragon offered to me not long agon. It was the very first time that I dressed up like this, following the traditional norm. See photo attached. The fire went very well, and it was sunny and windy. At first white smoke came out and it shaped like a dragon that flew up into the sky toward the east, where the master's table is located. At the end of the fire puja, all of a sudden, the east and south side of the fire pile came down completely while the other two sides stood intact. See photo attached. I have attended fire pujas since 1981, and this is number 833 fire puja on our record (During Guru Chen's time fire pujas were up to number 200), so that means I have attended over 700 fire pujas, but it was the very first time that I witnessed fire pile came down like this. Inside there appeared a huge skull shape and atop it at its center stood one firewood vertically. The skull shape resembles the skull on the earring, and the vertical firewood seems to represent a Vajra. In Tantra skull represents Dharmakaya or Sunyata. When the subsequent smoke puja was more than half-way through, suddenly very light drizzles started to fall, and disciple Xin Ping sensed and called out, "Oh, it is blessing nectars!" And then it became cloudy and cold, and dense but small hail came down. See photo attached. (When the Protector Mahakala arrives it usually hails.) And then it turned to rain, and some snow flakes came down amid the rain. And then only rain, and then it stopped and immediately it became clear sky and sunny again. From nectar drizzle to sunny again was only 10 to 15 minutes. Isn't this miraculous? Except this short period of sudden weather change, it was sunny all day. April 8 will be Easter Sunday, and we will perform fire puja to Jesus. After the fire puja we will visit a cemetery for Powa service. April 13 will be the first Four-Dragon Time vase offering. So far we have one large vase and 52 usual-size vases for this date. April 22 will be fire puja to Medicine Guru Buddha. April 25 will be the second Four-Dragon Time vase offering. So far we have one large vase and 22 usual-size vases for this date. Releasing of lives will also be done on this date. Depending on the logistics, we might postpone the fire puja on April 22 and do it after the vase offering on 25th. I will announce the final decision when it is near April 22. May all beings attain Enlightenment soon! Yutang Photos

It was sunny today. The fire puja to Supreme Pleasure Vajra went very well. Fire was huge from early beginning. When I was reciting the ritual before we started the fire. There were 6 large crows flying continuously in circle above the fire puja platform. As soon as stopped the recitation, they flew in the direction of the Buddha altar and left. They acted as if they came to listen to the recitation of the ritual. And usually we don't see so many crows there, even though two or up to four crows usually would show up for the food offering we brought them. When I performed the Fire of Cooperative Pleasure, Shuang Yun Huo Guang, the first one was huge and shaped like a dragon head, Long Tou, (this one we failed to catch it in the photo), and the second one was also large and shaped like the tail of a phoenix, Feng Wei, and we caught it in a photo. One of the photos shows a phoenix, Feng, of fire. The fire pile came down toward the master's table. Then there appeared at the center of the fire pile a lion's head, and to its right and lower besides it, there appeared a dragon's head. On our way home we stopped by Calvary Catholic Cemetery in the outskirts of the City of Bodega, and we performed Powa service there. Photos taken during these activities will be posted at our websites soon. March 18 will be fire puja to Kurukulla and cemetery visit.
April 8 will be Easter fire puja to Jesus and cemetery visit.
April 13 will be Four Dragon Time vase offering.
April 22 will be fire puja to Medicine Guru Buddha and cemetery visit.
April 25 will be Four Dragon Time vase offering. |

It was sunny, not too cold and not too hot, and without winds today.
The ocean was on the whole quite calm, except at some sections along the
coastline there were some waves.
The fire puja to Green Tara, along with White Tara and the protectress the
Great White Umbrella, went well.
Fire was strong, bright and beautiful through out the ceremony. We didn't
have to do much to make the fire going so well.
The fire pile came down toward the master's table, and firewoods formed a
wide ladder on the floor.
Immediately there appeared a dragon with horns, eyes, clearly recognizable
on top of the remaining fire pile.
Later during the smoke puja there appeared a fox head besides the place
where the dragon head was.
When we went to pay respect to the naturally formed Guan Yin statue on our
land, I noticed that the bear-shape burnt wood had been reformed by weather
to shape like a fox head.
On our way home we stopped by Bloomfield Cemetery in Petaluma to do Powa
service there.
Some photos were taken during today's Dharma activities, and they will soon
be posted at our websites for all to share.
While reducing the photos sizes for easier transmission through email I
noticed that in one photo in the fire there also appeared a fox face.
And in one photo showing the Guan Yin statue alone, I noticed that the face
area is clearly recognizable to be a human face today.
On Feb. 19 will be vase offering, releasing of lives and fire puja to Guan
Yin.
On March 4 will be fire puja to Supreme Pleasure Vajra.
On March 18 will be fire puja to Kurukulla.
May all beings attain Enlightenment soon!

It was sunny today.
Fire puja to Amitabha went very well, also so is the subsequent smoke puja.
Fire was strong and bright all the way through.
There were many swirling winds and smokes came out from the fire
altar--signs of Buddha's pleasure in receiving the offerings.
At the end of the fire puja I also performed Powa.
Near the naturally formed Guan Yin statue on our land we hung two large
prayer flags today. They were sent to me recently from disciples in Taiwan.
On our way home we stopped by Calvary Catholic Cemetery (what I used to call
as "Bodega Cemetery" because it is in the outskirts of the City of Bodega,
and there was no sign indicating its name; but today inside the gate I saw a
notice with this name on it) and we scattered rice blessed by Powa over the
tombs there. Some photos were taken during today's Dharma activities, and soon we will
post them at our websites for all to share. Jan. 23 will be Chinese New Year's Day for the Year of the Dragon. Happy
Dragon New Year! Feb. 5 will be fire puja to Green Tara and cemetery visit.
Feb. 19 will be vase offering, releasing of lives and fire puja to Guan Yin. May all beings attain Enlightenment soon! Yutang |

It was very cold in the early morning. But after the sun came out, it was OK. It was sunny and not much wind. The fire puja went well, as well as the smoke puja afterwards. Fire was bright, huge and vigorous throughout the ceremony. Fragrant and white smoke was also huge and continuous. On our way home we stopped by Bloomfield Cemetery in Petaluma to perform Powa service. Some photos were taken during our Dharma activities, and they will be posted at our websites soon for all to share. January 8 will be vase offering, releasing of lives and fire puja to Bodhisattva Earth Treasure. January 22 will be fire puja to Amitabha Buddha and cemetery visit. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! May all beings attain enlightenment soon! |
